Both clubs had been locked in

 negotiations over the deal this summer

 after the 21-year-old was told by Ruben

 Amorim to leave at the end of last

 season.

There had been a gap in valuation - with

 United said to have been holding out for

 around £50m - but a compromise has

 been reached. Garnacho is now expected

 to head to London to undergo his

 medical checks as soon as tomorrow.

The forward is set to sign a lucrative

 seven-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
