The Ka‘bah (House of Allah) is the holiest place in Islam, located in Makkah.
Prophet Ibrāhīm (Abraham, عليه السلام) and his son Ismā‘īl (Ishmael, عليه السلام) were commanded by Allah to rebuild the Ka‘bah on its ancient foundations. (Qur’an 2:127)
After completing the construction, they made a du‘ā (supplication) asking Allah to accept their work and to make them and their descendants true Muslims. (Qur’an 2:128)
Prophet Ibrāhīm was also commanded to call people to perform Ḥajj (pilgrimage) to the Ka‘bah.
The Ka‘bah was built as a symbol of Tawḥīd (worshipping Allah alone).
Muslims around the world face the Ka‘bah during Ṣalāh (prayer).
Today, the Ka‘bah remains the spiritual center of Islam, visited by millions during Ḥajj and ‘Umrah.
