Which prophet was given Zabur ?

Prophet Dāwūd (David, عليه السلام) was a prophet and also a king of the Children of Israel.

Allah blessed him with the Zabūr (Psalms), one of the revealed scriptures.

The Zabūr contained songs of praise, wisdom, and guidance for the people.

Prophet Dāwūd was known for his beautiful voice; when he recited the Zabūr, even the mountains and birds would join him in glorifying Allah. (Qur’an, Surah Saba’ 34:10)

Allah gave him great wisdom, knowledge, and judgment. He was able to decide disputes with fairness and justice.

He was also gifted with physical strength and was a skilled warrior. With Allah’s help, he defeated Jālūt (Goliath) when he was still young.

Prophet Dāwūd was also blessed with the ability to soften iron with his hands, making armor for protection. (Qur’an, Surah Saba’ 34:11)

Key Lessons:

1. Allah gives unique gifts to His prophets to support their mission.

2. Justice and fairness are essential qualities of leadership.

3. True strength comes from faith in Allah, not just physical power.

4. The Zabūr reminds us to always praise and glorify Allah.
