Prophet ‘Īsā (Jesus, عليه السلام) was born miraculously to Maryam (Mary, عليها السلام) without a father.
When Maryam returned to her people carrying baby ‘Īsā, they accused her of wrongdoing.
At that moment, Allah made the infant ‘Īsā speak from the cradle to defend his mother and declare his mission. (Qur’an 19:29–33)
Baby ‘Īsā said:
He was a servant of Allah.
Allah had made him a prophet.
He was blessed with the Injīl (Gospel).
He was commanded to establish prayer (ṣalāh) and give zakāh (charity).
He would be kind to his mother and not arrogant.
This miracle showed that ‘Īsā was not divine, but a prophet chosen by Allah even from birth.
