The articles of faith

 The Six Articles of Faith (ʿAqeedah) are the fundamental beliefs that every Muslim must hold in their heart. They represent the unseen realities of Islam. Without belief in them, a person’s faith is incomplete.



🕋 The Six Articles of Faith are:


1. Belief in Allah (Iman billah)

Believing in Allah’s existence, Oneness (Tawheed), Lordship, and His Names and Attributes.

Allah is the only One worthy of worship.


2. Belief in the Angels (Iman bil-Mala’ikah)

Angels are created from light.

They do not disobey Allah.

Examples: Jibreel (Gabriel) brought revelation, Mikail (Michael) controls rain, Israfeel will blow the trumpet on Judgment Day.


3. Belief in the Books (Iman bil-Kutub)

Allah revealed scriptures to guide mankind:

The Tawrah (Torah) to Musa (Moses)

The Zabur (Psalms) to Dawud (David)

The Injil (Gospel) to Isa (Jesus)

The Qur’an to Muhammad ﷺ (final and preserved).


4. Belief in the Prophets (Iman bir-Rusul)

Allah sent prophets to every nation to call to Tawheed.

25 are mentioned in the Qur’an (Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, Muhammad ﷺ, etc.).

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final messenger.


5. Belief in the Last Day (Iman bil-Yawm al-Akhir)

Belief in death, resurrection, judgment, Paradise (Jannah), and Hellfire (Jahannam).

Everyone will be held accountable for their deeds.


6. Belief in Divine Decree (Qadar)

Everything happens by Allah’s knowledge, will, and plan.

A Muslim believes in both the good and the bad of destiny.


Importance:

These six beliefs form the foundation of a Muslim’s faith (Iman).

Without them, Islam cannot be complete.

They bring peace, trust in Allah, and a clear purpose in life.

They are the core pillars of belief that guide a Muslim’s heart and actions.
